The NH Stonewall Democrats are a newly formed statewide club. Our mission shall be to secure for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender people, the equal human rights guaranteed to all citizens by the Constitution of the United States, to work for social and economic justice for all people, and to foster the ideals of the Democratic Party and to contribute to the Party’s growth and influence.

To achieve this mission, the club will work to:

Reflect the needs and desires of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community

Encourage participation in the Democratic Party activities at the local, state, and national levels

Register voters who support the club’s mission and encourage their participation in the electoral process

Advocate and or oppose legislation consistent with the club’s mission

Evaluate candidates for public office and actively support those candidates who best promote the club’s mission

Evaluate ballot measures and advise the community of the club’s recommendations

Actively support the election of qualified Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender candidates for public office

Educate public officials, candidates for public office, and the general community on political issues of importance to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community

Build coalitions with other organizations that support the club’s mission

Include underrepresented and diverse groups within our community in order to bring about greater harmony and understanding

Increase the club’s visibility and influence by participation in community activities and events

Any person who is a registered Democrat or if unable to register has expressed the intent to register as a Democrat and who subscribes to the stated purpose of the club, shall be eligible for regular membership in the club.
